Values that make for strong team

cultures - a collective mindset,

willingness to build generative

relationships, and commitment to higher

goals - aslso make for meaningful

community engagement. For my project,

I sought to connect and deepen

relationships between Bates Athletics

teams and community partners that drew

upon team values. Examples include

Bates track members volunteer coaching

at the local high school track team and

the cross country team landscaping at

the cemetery they often run through.
