Helena is hosting mental health discussion sessions mandatory for all athletes at Virginia State University. This initiative will introduce a more vulnerable culture within athletics. In the second part of the project, members of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee will visit local elementary and high schools to expand the mental health dialogue in the surrounding community.
