For Community Hoops Camp we engaged

40 kids from the Medford/Somerville area

and 14 coaches who are all basketball

players at Tufts! The basketball court was

our common ground. The goal of the

camp, like the mission of Community

Hoops was to create powerful mentorship

relationships with young hoopers in our

community. The day was spent doing both

on and off court skills stations along with

goal setting opportunities. Empowerment

is rooted in belief. Making sure that these

kids knew that they could dream for the

stars, and that we believed in them was

the only goal for the day.
